<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polyvinyl acetal resin excellent in flexibility, adhesion to other resins under high humidity conditions, heat resistance, thermal decomposion resistance, moisture resistance and toughness, having low oxygen permeability and moderate adhesiveness, and low in solution viscosity and excellent in the stability of the viscosity with time, to provide an adhesive composition, an ink, a coating composition, a heat-developable photosensitive material, a slurry composition for ceramic green sheets, and to provide a ceramic green sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The modified polyvinyl acetal resin is prepared by acetalizing a modified polyvinyl alcohol having ethylene-derived structural units randomly in the main chain and having an ethylene content of 1-20 mol % and a degree of saponification of at least 80 mol % and has ethylene-derived structural units randomly in the main chain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
