<p>The invention concerns a coupling device, comprising a packing seal (5) enclosing an end portion (1a, 2a) of the two tubes (1, 2), a slit sleeve (4) enclosing the packing seal, and clamping means (6) for radially clamping the sleeve around the packing seal and radially press the latter against the periphery of the end portions of the two tubes, wherein the packing seal (5) consists of a circular thin-walled metal part (8), having a generally cylindrical shape with two collars (8a, 8b) at its ends, and the sleeve (4) has two internal grooves (4a, 4b) for receiving the two collars (8a, 8b) and having a depth less than the radial dimension of the collars, such that the base of the grooves is capable of acting on the periphery of the collars to cause a contraction of the end zones (8c, 8d) of the circular part and urge said end zones in sealed contact with the end portions (1a, 1b) of the two tubes, over their entire circumference, when the sleeve is clamped by the clamping means around the circular part (8).</p> |
