PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a dust collection gas quantity capable of efficiently and inexpensively collecting the dust by one or the small number of dust collectors even when two or more dusting parts exist. SOLUTION: In the operation of the dust collecting device composed of a hood mounted on every dusting part, the dust collectors, a main duct mounted at a gas inlet side of the dust collectors, a sub-duct extending from the main duct, and a dampers of the main duct and the sub-duct, the following two steps are repeatedly executed; a first step for calculating the pressure loss of each duct on the basis of the assumed gas inlet quantity of the dust collector, calculating the gas inlet pressure on the basis of the total pressure loss, comparing the calculated value of the gas inlet pressure and a measured value, repeating the calculation by changing the assumed value of the gas inlet quantity when they are not agreed with each other to calculate the gas inlet quantity and the dust collecting gas quantity of each hood, agreed with each other; and a second step for adjusting an opening of the damper and the like to control the dust collecting gas quantity of each hood to be more than the necessary gas quantity of the dusting part.
