PURPOSE: A structure for reducing noise of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to prevent noise generated in a compressor from diffracting and leaking through a gap. CONSTITUTION: An upper sound control member(85) is placed to cover upper parts and sides of a compressor(25) and a water-liquid separator(40). A bottom sound control member(90) is placed on a bottom of the compressor. The upper sound control member and the bottom sound control member are joined to each other by joining parts(105) formed on corners thereof to seal without a gap so as to prevent leakage of noise generated in the compressor to the outside by diffraction. A plurality of pipe penetrating holes(95) are formed on an upper end of the upper sound control member for a refrigerant inlet pipe(45) and a refrigerant outlet pipe(50) to be connected to the outside. A plurality of compressor joining holes(100) are formed on the bottom sound control member for the compressor to be joined to a base panel. Velcro tapes are used on the joining parts to allow convenient assembly.
