PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display toy which is made enjoyable of its change without getting bored with a simple configuration and further has practical usefulness. SOLUTION: This image display toy is provided with an image display part having a plurality of light transmission plates formed with patterns or characters by point-engraving, line-engraving or punching and a plurality of LED respectively capable of emitting light to the corresponding light transmission plates (1), a rotation part (2) having a rotary plate to arrange the plurality of LED, a motor (3), a control means (4) for controlling emitting and/or flickering of the plurality of LED and a power source means (5). On the front face of the rotation part linked to the motor (3), the image display part is arranged not to be rotated, a plurality of the light transmission plates of the image display part are arranged while being laminated and by rotating the rotation part and emitting and/or flickering the plurality of LED in the rotation part (2) and the image display part in arbitrary and/or prescribed order, the images of the patterns and/or characters are displayed on the background of the patterns of rotating light.
