PURPOSE: A field emission display and a method for forming a getter support part are provided to prevent the arching by rounding an edge of a support portion installed at an upper glass substrate. CONSTITUTION: A field emission display includes an upper glass substrate(110), one or more getters(112), the first support portion(116), and the second support portion(114). The getters are installed at edges of the upper glass substrate. The first support portion is installed at both sides of the getters in order to define floating ranges of the getters and support the getters. The second support portion is installed at center portions of the getters in order to support the getters. A groove is formed at one side of the first support portion in order to be inserted therein. A penetrating groove is formed between one side and the other side of the second support portion.
