PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a hinge housing provided with a spring for use in a glasses is provided to improve the productivity by forming a circle-cross-section liner base metal into the hinge housing through a press finishing. CONSTITUTION: A base metal(2) has flat-ends and curved upper and lower surfaces through a rolling process. The rolled base metal(2) is press-finished by a metal mold having a hinge housing shape. Thereafter, a hinge housing(3) is formed on the rolled base metal(2). An excess mold metal(3a) is protruded from the hinge housing(3) to outside. The excess mold metal(3a) is chamfered to trim a surface of the hinge housing(3). Thereafter, an outer surface of the hinge housing(3) is trimmed to complete the forming process of the hinge housing(3).
