PURPOSE: An IPC(Inter Processor Communication) protocol changing method is provided to easily change the IPC protocol by performing the communication between processors by using a basic IPC protocol. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A system is started(S11). Processors set a flag with a Normal_IPC(S12). The processors try to perform an IPC with a normal IPC protocol normally used(S13). At this time, it is checked whether there exists an IPC response(S14). If there exists the IPC response, the processors continue to perform the IPC with the normal IPC protocol(S15). If there does not exist the IPC response, the processors set a flag with a Raw_IPC, meaning a basic IPC protocol(S16) and perform the IPC with the basic IPC protocol(S17). Then, the processors transmit a normal IPC program version request message to an SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) of an OML(Operation and Maintenance Processor)(S18). The processors receive the normal IPC program version from the SSL(S19), and check whether the newly transmitted normal IPC program is identical to an existing normal IPC protocol(S20). If the newly transmitted normal IPC program is identical to the existing normal IPC protocol, the system is restarted and the processors perform the IPC with the normal IPC protocol(S25). If the newly transmitted normal IPC program version is not identical to the existing normal IPC protocol, the processors transmit a normal IPC program load request to the SSL(S21), receive the normal IPC program from the SSL(S22), store it at a memory(S23). Then, the system is restarted and the processors perform the IPC with the changed IPC protocol(S24).
