PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a mid-frame partly using plastic in a game machine, without increasing its weight. SOLUTION: A mid-frame 10 consists of four parts; an upper side member 30 and a lower side member 50 which are made of plastic, and a left side member 70 and a right side member 90 which are made of metal. Therefore, it has much higher strength in its vertical sides than a frame entirely made of plastic. Moreover, since it limits the metal application (sheet metal) only to the vertical side members 70 and 90, it is not so much heavier, in total weight, than the frame entirely made of plastic. The lower side member 50, being made of plastic, can be provided with a path for passing prize balls, so that it requires no more combination with any additional plastic-molded gate, or if any, less in the amount. It is also extremely easy to separate each part from the body for recycling, because the plastic portions and the metal portions are respectively integrated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
