PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent front spillage effectively while improving fitness on human bodies. SOLUTION: In a sanitary napkin 1 in which an absorbent 4 is interposed between a liquid permeable top sheet 3 and a liquid impermeable back sheet 2 while three-dimensional gathers 7 and 7 are so arranged along both side parts on the surface side thereof as to be erected on the surface side thereof by a shrinking force with an elastically stretching member 17 covering specified sections along the length thereof, the rough center points of the erected sections L of the three-dimensional gathers 7 are located at least 20 mm ahead of the humor discharge site H. The front end part of the sanitary napkin 1 is also erected in a curve by the stretching force with the elastically stretching member 17 for making the solid gathers erect while the height of the erection should be 10 mm or more.
