摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a flow pattern of molten steel in continuous casting which can improve and stabilize the quality of a cast strip prepared by continuous casting, particularly can improve and stabilize the quality of a cast strip by preventing mold powder inclusion derived from a molten steel flow pattern within a mold. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes the steps of: (a) continuously casting molten steel delivered from an immersion nozzle; (b) measuring the temperature of a long-side copper plate in its plurality of points in the mold in a long-side width direction in the mold; (c) detecting a flow pattern of the molten steel within the mold based on a change in copper plate temperature in each measuring point with the elapse of time; and (d) controlling the flow pattern based on the results of detection so as to provide a predetermined flow pattern. The temperature of the copper plate of the mold is measured with a plurality of temperature measuring elements buried in the backside of the copper plate of the mold for continuous casting. The temperature measuring elements are provided in a position 10 to 135 mm away in a strip drawing direction from the position of the surface of the molten steel within the mold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
