PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the injection compression molding of a lens, capable of simply altering the thickness of the lens without taking cost and without requiring special preparation work. SOLUTION: The method for the injection compression molding of the lens includes a process for operating a toggle link mechanism 65 to move a movable die plate 64, a process for confining a molten resin in a cavity, a process for allowing the movable die plate 64 to advance toward a fixed die plate 61 and keeping the relative position of a rear plate 62 and the movable die plate 64 at a position where the extension quantity of a tie bar 63 becomes a preset value, a cooling process and a release process. A molded article different in thickness is obtained by adjusting one of the amount of the molten resin injected in the cavity in the resin injection and confining process and the pressure force for pressing the molten resin in the cavity in a resin pressing process.
