摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for purifying waste gas which exhibits high NOX purifying performance under high temperature lean atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: This reactor for purifying waste gas features that an anode is formed on one side surface of a flat board-like oxygen ion conductor and a cathode is formed on the other side surface thereof both of which are opposed to each other, a basic substance is deposited on the cathode, a lead wire is connected with the anode and the cathode and a closed circuit is formed. Preferably the anode and the cathode are constituted of material comprising transition metal, the oxygen ion conductor is selected from CeO<SB>2</SB>-Y<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, CeO<SB>2</SB>-Gd<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, CeO<SB>2</SB>-ZrO<SB>2</SB>, ZrO<SB>2</SB>-Y<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-Y<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, La<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-SrO-Ga<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-MgO and BaO-In<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and the basic substance is selected from oxide or carbonate of Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, etc., as well as alkali metal and alkaline earth metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
