PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a filter for oil-water separation of fuel to be used for a burner of an oil combusting apparatus. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin having water repelling property is used as a material of the filter for separation of oil and water. The synthetic resin is prepared in a powder state and controlled to 30 to 50μm particle size only. The synthetic resin powder as prepared is supplied to a mold produced to form an oil-water separation filter having specified thickness, kept at the temperature to molecularly polymerize the synthetic resin powder on the contact faces for a specified time to form one body, and then released from the mold. The obtained filter for oil-water separation has uniform vacancies as the filtering space formed by the particles of the powder having 30 to 50μm particle size and has both of the function of separating oil from water and a function of filtering.
