PURPOSE: A floating breakwater is provided to construct a breakwater simply and economically, and to prevent sea contamination by making the flow of seawater smoothly. CONSTITUTION: The floating breakwater comprises: two empty floating bodies(1,1a) floating on the surface of the seawater; at least one or more connectors(9) connecting two floating bodies(1,1a); a wave-dissipating plate(2) installed on the floating body(1a) and provided with many wave-dissipating holes(3); a wave-dissipating plate support(4) installed on the floating body(1) to support the wave-dissipating plate(2); a lower wave-dissipating plate(7) installed perpendicular to the lower part of the floating body(1a) and provided with many wave-dissipating holes(3a); and a horizontal wave-dissipating plate(6) installed horizontally to the side of the floating body(1) and located on the surface of the seawater.
