<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carotenoid-formulated food especially useful for proliferation or the like of cancer or lifestyle-related disease by discovering Dunaliella phycobiont containing a large amount of phytoene, and formulating the Dunaliella phycobiontor or the phytoene obtained by culturing the Dunaliella phycobiont. <P>SOLUTION: This carotenoid-formulated food is obtained by formulating the phytoene which is an acyclic carotenoid.
