PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in order to manufacture a pattern in the case of casting a relatively large shape such as, for example, a sheet or the like of a resin, in interior trimming of an automobile, it takes more then one month. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the master mold comprises a master mold cutting step of manufacturing the master mold by cutting a master mold body by an automatic working machine, a sand mold forming step of forming a sand mold by filling and solidifying casting sand in the master mold, a pattern casting mold preparing step of providing an outer frame in the formed sand mold, filling the casting sand in the frame, providing a sprue, and solidifying the sand to the casting mold, a pattern casting step of casting the pattern by filling the material for the pattern melted in the casting mold for the pattern, a finishing assembling step of finishing and assembling the pattern formed by the casting in combination, and a step of dividing the master mold body of a material such as a synthetic resin such as polyurethane, polystyrene or the like into several bodies in response to the complicated degree of the pattern, and integrally working the divided master molds.
