PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for circulating and filtering bathwater the inside of which can be sterilized together with the bathwater and the maintenance of which is made easy. SOLUTION: This apparatus is constituted of a casing 7 having an inlet of the water to be filtered in the upper part and an outlet of a filtrate in the lower part, a partition plate 10 which divides the inside of the casing 7 into upper space and lower space and has a plurality of through-holes, a large number of cleaning members 15 which are layered on the plate 10, each of which has many pores 29a on the surface and to the surface of each of which a photocatalyst-functional body 28 consisting of powder of an optical semiconductor is stuck, and an ultraviolet lamp 21 inserted and arranged in the upper space of the casing 7.
