PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for deodorization capable of efficiently eliminating acidic odors and basic odors which are malodorous causative substances, such as filth odors and body odors. SOLUTION: The composition for deodorization is prepared by respectively suitably and selectively compounding a copolymer essentially consisting of alkyl vinyl ethers of≥2 in carbon number of an alkyl group bonded to an oxygen atom and/or a derivative of this copolymer, and further an inorganic metal compound, fatty acid metal salt and carbonyl compound.
