CATALYST FOR PURIFYING WASTE GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for purifying waste gas which exhibits excellent adsorptivity for nitrogen oxide (NO).

SOLUTION: This catalyst is composed of double oxide having a perovskite structure whose average crystallite diameter D is <500 Å and zeolite, and the content C of the double oxide is set to be 20 wt.%≤C≤80 wt.% Zeolite adsorbs hydrocarbon (HC) and the HC is oxidized to active CHO. The active CHO reduces NO adsorbed on the double oxide.
