PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classifier for a pulverizer which neither requires so severe size-control nor lowers the concentration of fine particles fed as a dual phase flow of solid and gas, and which can prevent fine particles before the secondary classification from leaking to a product outlet. SOLUTION: An annular shield ring 63 hung from the ceiling part 60 of a housing is installed at the upper part of a vertical inner periphery side of classifying fins 21, whereby powdered coal blown up from the lower part in a secondary classifying part 62 is prevented from entering a gap between the top part of the classifying fins 21 and the ceiling part 60 of the housing to directly move to a dividing part 8 side.
