METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CALIBRATING MAGNETIC IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE SENSITIVE TO MAGNETIC FIELD AND PERFORMING IMAGING BY MEANS OF THE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for enabling the relatively simple and reliable calibration of a magnetic image pickup device which is sensitive to magnetic fields.

SOLUTION: This image pickup device is assumed to be an image amplifier for X-ray system with a C-arm, for example. The calibration is essentially carried out through the formation of a look-up table and the storage, which connects a plurality of magnetic data that affects the image pickup device with the calibration data to be obtained to correct the distortion caused by the magnetic data. During the imaging phase, the magnetic data that affects the image pickup device is measured, and the calibration data in relation to the magnetic data in the table is read out and used for the correction of the obtained image.
