<p>The invention describes a sound-absorbing covering (1) and a manufacturing process therefor. The system consists of a shaped cover layer (3), in particular a carpet layer, with the back side (2) as coupling surface for lining modules (4-6) and possibly heavy layers (7-9), and with an acoustic compliance element, as for example foam (4) or formed fabric (5, 6), in conjunction with other technical, non-acoustic modules to provide multifunctionality. Nonacoustic modules include, for example, electronics components, electrical and mechanical plug-in connectors as well as air vents and the like. The modules are coupled to the back side (2) of the cover layer (3) preferably using redetachable connections of various designs, thus essentially taking into account the demands of recycling. Back foaming is not necessary, and so inexpensive, non-foamproof grades of carpet can be used. The manufacturing process can advantageously use a joining device for preferably automatic, freely programmable positioning of the different modules (4-6).</p> |
