A bone screw that is able to be screwed further into the bone even after surrounding bone cement has hardened has a jacket surface 5 with an external thread 6 and a bore 7 coaxial to the longitudinal axis 3 and open toward the head 1 and which is connected to the jacket surface via at least one channel extending transversely to the longitudinal axis and opening to the outside of the jacket to form at least one perforation 9 in the jacket surface. The bore is closed towards the screw tip 4. This configuration allows bone cement to be introduced into the surrounding bone in such a way that an artificial, coaxial bed of cement forms for the bed of the bone screw. As the bed of cement only contacts the screw along the sides and not at the tip, the screw can be tightened further in the axial direction even after the cement has hardened.
