PURPOSE: A smart card device is provided to reduce a time for performing a reset operation and a ROM region for storing a reset operation program by resetting all SRAM cells by meas of a reset flag signal. CONSTITUTION: A smart card device includes a plurality of SRAM cells(10), an address decoding portion(20), and a plurality of data input portions(30). The address decoding portion decodes addresses which are inputted to assign each SRAM cell. The data input portions buffers data inputted into the SRAM cells. The smart card further includes a plurality of activation control portions and a data selection portion(40). The activation control portions activates corresponding word lines of the SRAM cells on the basis of a reset flag signal for resetting the SRAM cells and each output signal of the address decoding portion. The data selection portion selects one of the first input data and the second input data according to a state of the reset flag signal. The reset flag signal is applied to a built-in CPU(Central Processing Unit). The activation control portion is formed with an OR gate. The data selection portion is formed with a 2:1 multiplexer.
