PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for recovering a state of a receiving error in a data transmission system are provided to recover the receiving error due to the misalignment of data in a transmission FIFO of a transmission side by initializing the transmission FIFO. CONSTITUTION: A receiving error state recovery apparatus includes an initialization portion(30) and an initialization request portion(40). The initialization portion initializes a transmission FIFO(31) when receiving an initialization request signal through the second link(L4) in a transmitting process of stored data of the transmission FIFO through the first link. The initialization request portion receives the data through the first link(L3), detects an error due to the misalignment of data in the transmission FIFO, and transmits an initial request signal through the second link.
