POLYETHYLENE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR CAP OF BOTTLE

PURPOSE: A polyethylene resin composition for the cap of a bottle is provided, which shows excellent whiteness, generates no change of color even in storage for a long period and does not induce the change of the taste and smell of beverage. CONSTITUTION: The polyethylene resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of high density polyethylene; 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a tallow alkyl amine-based antioxidizing agent; optionally 1 part by weight or less of an antacid agent and/or a phosphate-based antioxidizing agent; and optionally 2 parts by weight or less of a pigment. Preferably the high density polyethylene has a melting index of 0.1-20 g/ 10 min when measured according to ASTM D1238 under the load of 2.1 kgf/cm2 at a temperature of 190 deg.C, and a density of 0.940 g/cm3 or more when measured according to ASTM D1505 at a temperature of 23 deg.C; and the tallow alkyl amine-based antioxidizing agent is a compound represented by R-NOH-R, wherein R is C18H37.
