FIELD: geodetic equipment and equipment for reckoning of coordinates of ground vehicles. SUBSTANCE: the device represents a gyro with an elastic suspension of the rotor and a vertical axle. The gyro is positioned on a horizontal platform with provision of the rotor turn in the horizon for insurance of taking the readings of the rotor stabilization off the amplifiers of rotor stabilization in the horizon in 3 angles spaced apart by +90 and +180 deg., and with calculation of the angle of di8rection to the North by an algorithm determining the concrete values of the additive and multiplicative components of the signals.
