PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray of such an optical disk device which prevents the generation of the whistling sounds generated at an optical disk and eventually smoothes the flow of the air accompanying the rotation of the optical disk even when the rotating speed of the optical disk is made higher. SOLUTION: The tray 30 has a mounting section 32 depressed to be mounted with the optical disk 10 and an aperture 38 formed to open a portion of the bottom plate of the mounting section 32 along the moving direction of an optical pickup from a center 32a of the mounting section 32. The edge of the base surface of the mounting section 32 with the aperture 38 is provided with a slope 40 formed to incline in such a manner that the clearance between the edge and the mounted optical disk 10 expands gradually toward the aperture 38.
