PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive bead manufacturing apparatus dispensing with a preheater, a tensile device and a festoon, good in space efficiency and capable of producing a bead of good quality. CONSTITUTION:In a bead manufacturing apparatus consisting of a wire supply device 1 for supplying one or more continuous bead wire, an extruder 10 equipped with an extrusion head 3 permitting the wire 2 to pass under tension in order to cover the wire 2 with rubber and a bead winder 7 taking up the wire covered with rubber by the extrusion head 3 to form an annular bead, an outer diameter sensor 6, a head pressure measuring sensor 5 and a relief valve 4 are provided and a control means 12 automatically controlling the speed of the bead winder 7 and the opening degree of the relief valve 4 on the basis of the outer diameter data 13 from the outer diameter sensor 6 and the head pressure data 14 from the head pressure measuring sensor 5 in order to always keep the outer diameter of the rubber coated wire 2 constant is provided. |
