<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tread mounting structure in which the installation space of a supporting member for stairs is reduced and the internal space of a building can be utilized effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The tread mounting structure is constituted so that at least one end sections of treads are inserted into a wall body and the end sections are supported by core materials configuring the wall body. When the stairs are installed, side plates (such as strings) are made unnecessary, and a place for mounting the stairs can be reduced.
