PURPOSE: A method of controlling the temperature of an air conditioner is provided to properly maintain the indoor temperature and to minimize a loss of power. CONSTITUTION: A method of controlling the temperature of an air conditioner comprises steps of deciding the current operating state of the air conditioner(200); sensing the indoor temperature under a stop state of the air conditioner(220); deciding the sensed indoor temperature is included within a predetermined range(230); and making the indoor temperature included within a fixed range by operating the air conditioner when the sensed indoor temperature is out of the predetermined range(240). Accordingly, regular temperature is always maintained although the air conditioner isn't working.
