Livestock herding apparatus consists of a curtain of electrified wires (22) that is moved by means of an electrically-powered trolley on an overhead I-section carrier rail (1) perpendicular to the curtain. The trolley comprises a motor and reduction gear unit with two driven rollers (3) interacting with the rail and two supporting rollers (4) outside them to provide stability.
