PURPOSE: A method of controlling a fan operation for improving cooling efficiency of a small repeater is provided to control a rotative speed of a fan according to internal temperature of the repeater, and to exactly understand an error, then to control an operation starting and stopping process of the fan according to open/closed states of a self door, thereby improving cooling efficiency of the repeater. CONSTITUTION: A system gradually rotates a fan at certain intervals, and decides whether a speed is increased up to an initial set value(S15). If so, the system increases a serial count to check time for serial transmission(S16). If a serial count value is capable of being transmitted, the system performs the serial transmission(S17). The system reads a current temperature value, and sets a state for deciding whether to process by temperature(L3,S18). If so, the system increases a speed control time for controlling a fan speed according to the temperature value(S19). The system stores a new temperature value, and controls the fan speed(S21,L4). The system checks whether an error is generated during an operation(L5).
