PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily position a grating with respect to a heater, to prevent the deviation in the position of the grating with respect to the heater and to prevent the deterioration of the dispersion characteristic of a polarized wave mode.

SOLUTION: This optical fiber supporting device is provided with an optical fiber 1 having a grating 2 which reflects propagating optical signals having a plurality of wavelengths, a heater 3 giving a prescribed temperature distribution to the grating 2, a strip-like member 6 which has a straight groove to house an optical fiber 1 and a gel-like material 7 which is filled in the gap in the groove and made to closely contact with the optical fiber 1, and a substrate 4 on which the heater 3 and the strip-like member 6 are mounted.
