PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for the motor of a compressor, which is easily secured of perpendicularity with respect the axis of an iron core. SOLUTION: In the stator for the motor of the compressor which is made by stacking a plurality of sheets of iron cores equipped with projections for calking and calking holes in order of die cutting and mounting ancillary parts such as winding to these iron plates, a half of the stacked iron cores are inverted upside down, and at each of the faces on the side of the projections for calking, the calking holes of the same outside and inside peripheral forms as the iron cores and made in the same positions of the projections for calking the iron cores. Further, iron cores for mating, which are equipped with through holes for passing these projections for calking in the same positions as those of projections for calking the iron cores, are piled on the top of one another, and the iron cores for mating are mated to each other thereby stacking the iron cores. Therefore, laying the iron cores for mating on the top of the half iron cores stacked and calking them facilitates the true up of the iron cores and to secure the perpendicularity of the axis of the iron core, since the number of stacked sheets is a half.
