PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a plain-ridge tile, in which labor required for binding works by a binding wire is reduced and which has a binding structure being not shaken and broken and having high reliability, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The plain-ridge tile is composed of a tile body, to which a split groove capable of being split by half is formed, and a pair of projecting sections for a binding projected and formed bilaterally symmetrically, holding the split groove in the top face of the tile body. The projecting section for the binding can be molded by notching a part of the side face of a cylindrical projecting section, and it is preferable that the projecting section is molded integrally with the tile body. A pair of the projecting sections are molded integrally to the top face of the tile body by a mold, the tile is released from the mold, and a part of the side face of the projecting section is notched by a cutting means by passing the tile body through the cutting means set on the way of conveyance of the tile, thus simply manufacturing the plain-ridge tile.
