A device for joining a tube (3) to a cylindrical coupling (1) defined by a front surface (6) and a coupling sleeve (11) of which a first section (12) comprises releasable fastening means (13) engageable with aligned means (5) on the coupling (1), while a second portion (14) axially adjacent to the first (13) comprises means (15) for preventing the removal of the end of the tube (3) inserted into the sleeve (11) and engaging the front surface (6) of the coupling (1). The sleeve (11) is provided with an internal guide ring (19) for guiding the end of the tube (3), the internal diameter (D) of the guide ring is substantially the same as the external diameter of the tube (3), and said ring includes a first portion (20) slidably mounted in the second section (14) of the sleeve (11), and a second portion (21) axially projecting into the first section (12) of the sleeve (11), whereas the coupling (1) is provided with a groove (7) formed in the front surface (6) thereof for receiving and centring the free end of the second projecting portion (21) of the ring (19) when the fastening means (5, 13) are in mutual engagement.
