AN IMPROVED GASKET

A gasket (1a) for a domestic appliance having a door (2) and a cabinet (5), for example a refrigerator, comprises a fastener (10a) for attaching the gasket (1a) to the door (2), and a bellows-type section (8) capable of forming a seal between the door (2) and the cabinet (5) of the appliance. The fastener (10a) comprises a fastener part (24) which locates in a formation (6) on the door (2), and an attachment means (21) for attaching the fastener (10a) to the bellows-type section (8). The fastener part (24) comprises two separate and independent resiliently deformable legs (25, 26) which are attached at one end to the attachment means (21) and turned back on themselves at the other end. In use, the legs directly engage with the formation (6) on the door (2) to keep the gasket (1a) in place on the door (2).
