APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING TORPEDO LADLE CAR TILTING ANGLE BY USING ULTRASONIC SENSOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method which easily removes floating slag contained in molten steel of the ladle car and prevents excessive outflow of hot metal, thereby reduces facility damage by automatically controlling torpedo ladle car tilting angle by using ultrasonic sensor are provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a hot metal level detection part(8) for detecting level of hot metal inside the ladle car through the ultrasonic sensor(8-1); a tilting angle calculation part(9) for calculating tilting angle of the ladle car according to the level of hot metal detected by the hot metal level detection part; a tilting setting required angle judging part(10) for judging a tilting setting required angle of the ladle car calculated by the tilting angle calculation part; a tilting angle detection part(11) for detecting tilting angle of the ladle car(1) through a pulse generator(8-1); a tilting motor control part(7) for controlling the tilting motor by signals of the tilting setting required angle judging part; a tilting motor operating control inverter part(12) for controlling the driving part according to controlling of the tilting motor control part; and a process monitoring control part(6) connected to the hot metal level detection part and tilting angle detection part to monitor tilting operation of the ladle car.
