GASOLINE ENGINE HAVING PRE-COMBUSTION CHAMBER

PURPOSE: A gasoline engine having a pre-combustion chamber is provided to reduce the amount of NOx by dividing a combustion chamber into a pre-combustion chamber and a main combustion chamber and improving the combustion efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A gasoline engine having a pre-combustion chamber comprises a main combustion chamber(130) formed by combining the lower face of a cylinder head(110) with the upper face of a piston head(120) and two pre-combustion chambers(140) formed at both sides of the main combustion chamber facing mutually. In the compression stroke, a small amount of fuel-mixed air sucked into the pre-combustion chambers is ignited and burned previously. The explosive flames are discharged to the main chamber. Therefore, the combustion time is reduced.
