PURPOSE: A shifting control method of a continuously variable transmission is provided to improve responsiveness of shift control and to shift quickly by compensating null duty according to load condition and temperature of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A speed range of a continuously variable transmission is detected(S310), and the null duty is output differently corresponding to each detected speed range(S312-S324). The upshift compensation value or the downshift compensation value is mapped according to change of oil temperature. The predetermined value of null duty is output to separate upshift and downshift at vehicle speed over 600 rpm at the D or L-range, and control responsiveness of speed ratio is improved by compensating the null duty corresponding to upshift or downshift. Shift is performed quickly by compensating the null duty according to load and temperature of the vehicle.
