PURPOSE: A method for deciding a driving environment in a standby state of a document output apparatus is provided to integratedly confirm and change information related to the driving environment. CONSTITUTION: A document output apparatus displays information related to a driving environment in a standby state(10). It is judged whether a key is inputted(12). If so, it is judged whether the key is a key for changing the driving environment(14). If so, the driving environment is changed according to the input key(16). If not, it is judged whether the key is a key for executing an operation(18). If so, the operation is executed according to the input key(20).
