PURPOSE: An intelligent advertising system by using a mobile communication terminal and an advertising method therefor are provided to put an advertisement through major advertising media located in an area of a user, on the basis of personal information of the user that utilizes a GPS(Global Positioning System) phone. CONSTITUTION: A GPS phone(110) has a built-in GPS receiver. A base station(120) connects the GPS phone(110) with an advertising processing unit(150). An information provider(130) provides information related to an advertisement and requested by a user to the advertising processing unit(150). An advertiser(140) requests the advertisement to the advertising processing unit(150). An advertising medium(160) displays the provided advertisement. And the advertising processing unit(150) comprises an exchange(151) connecting the GPS phone(110) with the advertising processing unit(150), an information server(152) storing information collected from the advertiser(140) and the information provider(130), a position information server(153) storing current position information of the GPS phone(110), and a database(154) storing personal information of a GPS phone user.
