PURPOSE: A device for blocking hole of main iron trough is provided to reduce work load and prevent facility accident and safety accident by always preventing solidification of molten material in the hole without using of hole opener and oxygen hole, thereby discharging molten material inside the main iron trough promptly and safely. CONSTITUTION: The device for blocking hole of main iron trough comprises a refractory cap(10) for opening and closing the hole of the main iron trough; an electric powered motor(21) for opening and closing the hole by moving the refractory cap(10); and vertical connection arm(19) and horizontal connection arm(20) for connecting the refractory cap(10) to the electric powered motor(21), wherein the refractory cap(10) is formed of a high alumina refractory material for high temperature and comprises a cylindrical electromagnetic material(11) formed on the front outer side of the refractory cap(10); cylindrical insulation plates(12,13) formed on side surface part and rear surface part of the refractory cap(10) respectively; cylindrical electric heating plates(14,15) formed on side surface part and rear surface part of the refractory cap(10) respectively; a temperature detection sensor(16) installed at the central inner side of the refractory cap(10); and a removable refractory cap(17) buried in the molten material contact part of the hole of the front center of the refractory cap(10), wherein the electric powered motor(21) is installed on metal case of the main iron trough right above the hole, wherein the horizontal connection arm(20) is connected to shaft(22) of the electric powered motor(21), wherein the vertical connection arm(19) is fixed to the outer side of the refractory cap(10) by a clamp(18), and wherein the temperature detection sensor(16), cylindrical electric heating plates(14,15) and cylindrical electromagnetic material(11) are controlled by a control part.
