PURPOSE: To solve a problem of a conventional drive circuit adopting the PWM system that has caused a sense of incongruity such as raster on a television screen viewed as if to flow because of occurrence of beat disturbance when the drive circuit is built in a television set. CONSTITUTION: The drive circuit of this invention provided with: a comparator 2 that compares an input signal with a sampling signal to apply pulse width modulation to the input signal; a drive transistor circuit 4 that is switched depending on an output signal from the comparator 2; and a filter 6 for attenuating a switching frequency fsw component of the drive transistor circuit 4 and built in a television receiver, selects the switching frequency fsw component of the drive transistor circuit 4 to be a multiple of a horizontal frequency fH, and in particular is provided with a PLL circuit that locks the frequency of the sampling signal to the multiple of the horizontal frequency fH.
