METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYAMINE POLYMER USING MINIMIZED AMOUNT OF EPICHLOROHYDRIN

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing polyamine polymer using a minimized amount of epichlorohydrine by dissolving epichlorohydrin in water and/or adding triethylene tetramine. CONSTITUTION: The method includes dissolving epichlorohydrin in water and adding diethylenetriamine and/or triethylenetetramine for polymerization. The molar ratio of diethylenetriamine and/or triethylenetetramine to epichlorohydrin is 0.9:1 to 2:1. The reaction of diethylenetriamine and/or triethylenetetramine with epichlorohydrin is conducted by leaving the reaction at 30 to 40 deg.C for about 4 hours, followed by leaving the reaction at 70 to 90 deg.C for about 3 hours. By this method, it is possible to reduce the amount of generated epichlorohydrin which is harmful to human bodies.
