PROCESS FOR PREPARING RESIN COMPOSITION FOR ADVANCED MATERIALS BY USING RECYCLED WASTE POLYESTER RESIN

PURPOSE: A process for preparing a polyester resin composition for an ecological advanced materials having high performance and high value added including electro-photographic developers, powdery paints, printing inks and adhesives using a recycled waste polyester resin is provided. CONSTITUTION: The process for preparing a polyester resin composition for advanced materials by using a recycled waste polyester resin comprises the steps of: (a) introducing a waste polyester into a reactor, depolymerizing it with a polyhydric alcohol, depressing the reactor to high vacuum state to remove the excess amount of the polyhydric alcohol and then dissolving it by adding a solid resin as a depolymerization stabilizer; (b) carrying out addition reaction with a polybasic acid to form polyester resin composition having 2 to 3 of carboxyl groups at the terminal of the polymer chain and having acid value of 10 to 120 mgKOH/g; and (c) carrying out neutralization by adding a basic compound to the product obtained in the step (b) and dispersing in a water based solvent to obtain a water dispersible polyester.
