PURPOSE: Provided is a battery device which is useful to maximize a converting efficiency of system by actively changing a cell structure of battery according to usage frequency of converter in the system. CONSTITUTION: The battery device comprises a plurality of battery cells(C1-C6) for charging/discharging of electric power source, and a switch positioned between the battery cells(C1-C6), wherein the plurality of battery cells(C1-C6) are variably connected by the switching motion in parallel/series. The battery cells(C1-C6) are connected in parallel and reduce an output voltage when usage frequency of step down converter of the system is low, while the battery cells(C1-C6) are connected in series and increase an output voltage when usage frequency of the step down converter is high.
