<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a fuel consumption ratio by controlling fuel supply and stop and engagingly control a clutch without a shock when a vehicle decelerates. <P>SOLUTION: A rotational driving force from an engine E that can control fuel supply and stop is transmitted to wheels via a continuously variable transmission DVT. By engagement of the start clutch 5, transmission is controlled. When the vehicle starts deceleration, the engine controls fuel supply and stop after a predetermined time from starting the deceleration. A clutch engaging force is set so as to release the start clutch 5 to a state just before engagement when a throttle is detected to be closed. After that, this controller controls so as to gently increase the engaging force from starting controlling fuel supply and stop of the engine and gradually engage the start clutch 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
